Mammoth ivory is found in the cold northern region of Alaska, Canada, Russia, and Siberia, and may range in age from 10,000 to 200,000 years. Blue green coloration is exceptionally rare and is only found in less than 1% of all mammoth tusk. This rare color is caused by the mineral, Vivianite, that seeped into and created a blue green hued stain over many tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of years of preservation.
Prehistoric woolly mammoth ivory is the traditional and eco conscious 14th wedding anniversary gift!
