Vintage Hoops

Vintage style mammoth ivory hoop earrings are hand carved and set with solid 14kt or rhodium plated sterling silver post backs and clutches. Approximately 20mm hoop height. 

Prehistoric woolly mammoth ivory is found by chance in the cold northern regions of Alaska, Canada, Russia, and Siberia. Fossil tusks may range in age from 10,000 to 200,00 years, an natural colors vary depending upon what minerals the tusk laid next to and for how many tens of thousands of years.
